From Bangor Police:
The Bangor Police Department patrol and criminal investigation divisions have been working diligently over the last few months investigating a series of nighttime home burglaries. Many of these burglaries occurred while the residents were home and without their knowledge until they awoke to find that their homes had been entered.
At approximately 4am this morning Bangor Officers were called to a home on the east side of the city in which the homeowner called for assistance after a dog alerted them to an intruder’s presence. Officers arrived quickly and began searching for those responsible. Two individuals have since been arrested and charged with burglary in connection to this incident and 4 other similar crimes in the City of Bangor. Investigators continue to follow leads and interview witnesses.
28 year old Nathan Paulette and 26 year old Chelsea Davis of Bangor have each been charged with 5 counts of class C burglary and are currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
There have been 21 nighttime home burglaries since August. Residents are reminded to check all windows, including basement windows, and make certain they are secured.
