Great Blue Herons Talk in Ellsworth

Downeast Audubon is hosting a nature program “Monitoring Maine’s Great Blue Herons” on Thursday, June 29 at 7 pm at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth. Last spring was the first time that five Great Blue Herons in Maine were trapped and outfitted with lightweight GPS tracking devices, then released to allow researchers to follow their movements during nesting, migration and wintering.
