Searsport Historical Society Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Searsport Historical Society takes place on Tuesday, June 13th at 7pm in Curtis Hall on Church St. in Searsport. Guest speaker is Searsport’s Town Historian, Charlene Knox Farris, whose narrated slide presentation topic is “Searsport’s Sam Houston Remembered.” Houston, an early 1700’s settler in Searsport, served as bodyguard to General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Refreshments will be served and this meeting if free and open to the general public.
