Winter Fun Day at Middle River Park in Machias

Downeast Coastal Conservancy(DCC) invites the community to attend the 2^nd Annual Winter Fun Day at Middle River Park in Machias. This free event will be held from 1pm – 3pm on Saturday, February 4^th.  Participants can enjoy a variety of winter activities at the park, including sledding, snowshoeing the 2.5-mile trail network, or gliding through the new cross-country ski trail.  The corresponding gear for all these activities will be available for use and DCC staff and volunteers will be on hand to help get beginners started.  Attendees can stay warm during the event by cozying up to the campfire for complimentary hot dogs and hot cocoa.  In the event of no snow, DCC welcomes the community to still come enjoy a hike around the park and treats by the fire.
